Chapter 13 of the Bhagavad Gita, titled Kshetra Kshetrajna Yoga or The Yoga of the Field and the Knower of the Field, explains the distinction between the physical body (Kshetra) and the soul (Kshetrajna). Lord Krishna describes how the body is the field of activity, while the soul is the knower and experiencer of that field. This chapter emphasizes self-realization, the understanding of material nature (Prakriti) and the Supreme Spirit (Purusha), and the path to true wisdom through knowledge of the Self and detachment from worldly desires.
