For some reason, Shane made many new friends from all over the world. Each of them had a wonderful time in Taiwan. In today's episode, we will learn more about them and their impressions of the country! Q1. What's your name, your pronouns, sexuality, or any other identities that you want ppl to know about you?
Pedro: I'm a he, I'm a straight guy. I don't really have other identities to mention :)
Q2. Where are you from? Why did you come to Taiwan? How did you meet Shane, and what was your first impression of them?
Emily: I'm from London, England. I came here to practice my Mandarin, and I met Shane through my ex-girlfriend! I thought Shane is very social for a Taiwanese.
Q3. As far as you can remember, what's your first impression about Taiwan?
Angel: I didn't really know much about modern Taiwan; I only knew about Japanese colonialism and the introduction of the Dutch and Portuguese to Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
Q4. If you could bring one thing from Taiwan to your hometown, what would that be?
Matthias: I think I would really like to bring back to Switzerland the cafés that are open until very late.
