西西公主和她的精靈朋友來到一顆名為「琉璃」的行星。這顆星球上到處都是鏡子，從地面到牆壁，甚至連雲朵都是反射著光芒的鏡子。然而，這裡的居民們，卻總是低著頭，不敢看鏡子。他們認為，鏡子裡只會出現自己不開心的樣子，所以他們害怕鏡子，也害怕面對自己。他們的臉上沒有任何表情，就像一個個沒有靈魂的木偶。
西西公主感到很難過，她問精靈：「為什麼他們這麼害怕自己的臉呢？」
