영어는 명사를 먼저 말하고 설명을 뒤에 붙이지만, 한국어에서는 보통 설명을 먼저 하고 명사가 마지막에 옵니다. 그런 구조의 문장들로 짧은 이야기를 만들어 봤어요.

I’m watching a series that my favorite actor is in(a show that my favorite actress is in) these days.

같이 보는 친구가 예전에 봤던 시즌이 더 재밌었다고 하더라고요.

My friend said the season she watched before was more fun.

근데 저는 지금 보는 시즌도 충분히 재밌어요.

But I think the season we’re watching now is fun enough too.

어제는 야식을 시켰는데,

Yesterday, we got some late-night food.

친구가 고른 메뉴가 더 맛있는 거예요.

The one (that) she got was better.

다음엔 저도 그걸(친구가 주문한 메뉴)로 시키려고요.

Next time, I’m just gonna get the one she got.

야식 먹으면서 보는 드라마,

👸🏻 그녀의 이상형이 궁금해요.
→ I’m curious about the type of person she likes.

🧡 내가 배우자를 고를 때 중요하게 생각하는 조건 중 하나는 다정함이에요.
→ One of the qualities I look for in a husband is kindness.

🎄 난 동그랗고 빨간 오너먼트가 가득 달린 클래식한 트리를 좋아해.
→ I like classic Christmas trees that have lots of round red baubles.

💡 영어에서는 명사 뒤에 오는 말이 그 명사를 꾸며주는 경우가 많지만,

한국어는 꾸며주는 말이 먼저 오고 명사가 나중에 옵니다.

문법을 외우기보다, 자연스러운 예문을 듣고 직접 문장을 만들어 보는 것이

감각을 익히는 데 더 좋은 방법이에요.
