浮嶽神社はJR福吉駅近くのまむし温泉から少し坂道を登ったところにあります。
この神社に保管してあるのが九州で最も古いとみられる仏像です。
仏像は如来立像、地蔵菩薩、伝・薬師如来像、そして阿弥陀如来像の4体です。
そして、海岸を東へ出て櫻井神社を歩きました。
ここの楼門や拝殿、本殿は重要文化財の指定をうけていて、実に見事なものでした。
