Michael Ansara has been a dedicated activist and organizer since the 1960s, starting with the civil rights, student, and antiwar movements. His poetry and essays have been featured in numerous journals.
We spoke to Michael about the many flashpoint moments he experienced on the front lines fighting for civil rights and working to end the war in Vietnam, why he believes organizing is the key to success in helping to bring about change, and his time-tested practical advice for everyday Americans seeking to make a difference.
