Phong Tran is Brooklyn-based composer and visual artist working in digital and electronic mediums. His music has been released by the New York post-classical label New Amsterdam, who has described his work as evoking “the sounds of early synthesizers and late night wikipedia deep dives.”
In this episode, Phong discusses his favorite eurorack modules, online communities of the early 2000s, and how a tabletop board game inspired an original composition. Phong also unveils his exclusive sample pack for BandLab, giving listeners an opportunity to download the analog textures and modular synthesis that define his sound design.
