
Today's Guest: Assoc. Athletic Dir. for Fan Engagement, Marketing & Ticketing at UC Santa Barbara-Aaron Rudy
Our guest began his academic journey at Syracuse University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Strategic Management in 2013, followed by a Master of Science in Sport Venue & Event Management in 2016. During this time, he gained early experience with the Syracuse Chiefs AAA Baseball Team, the New York Jets, and the San Diego Chargers, while also serving as Head Manager for Syracuse Football under Coach Doug Marrone.
He went on to build a career in athletics through roles at Syracuse University, Tulane University, and Dartmouth College, consistently setting records in attendance, ticket sales, and fan engagement. His work earned national recognition, including a NACMA Marketing Team of the Year honorable mention and a finalist nod for an Outstanding Special Feature documentary.
Today, he serves as Associate Athletic Director for Fan Engagement, Marketing & Ticketing at UC Santa Barbara, where he has overseen historic growth in ticket sales, sponsorships, and attendance, while helping secure theuniversity’s first-ever NCAA Baseball Regional bid and hosting international soccer events.Follow and like this podcast as well as leave questions in the comments that may be answered on future episodes.
