5 Tips & Tricks: Bucknell Associate Athletic Director for Compliance & Student Services- Dan Isaf

Todays Guest: Bucknell Associate Athletic Director for Compliance & Student Services

Before he ever stepped into the world of NCAA compliance, he was a dedicated student-athlete at Hartwick College, where he played men’s lacrosse and finished his career with several school records in points and assists.

He went on to earn his law degree, beginning his professional life in the legal field with roles at firms in New York, Illinois, and Massachusetts. After seven years in law, he returned to collegiate athletics, joining Syracuse University’s compliance office.

There, he steadily advanced from compliance assistant to coordinator and then assistant director, overseeing recruiting monitoring, submitting waivers and violation reports, leading rules-education efforts, and managing Syracuse’s intern and extern programs.

In 2013, he took the next step in his career by joining Bucknell as associate athletic director for NCAA compliance and student services. Today, he oversees compliance operations, eligibility and financial-aid certification, rules education, student-services initiatives, and serves as the sport administrator for tennis and volleyball.
