S.2. Ep. 4 50 State Finish Lines: Running the Boston marathon, TWICE, in less than 12 months! Maggie, a young professional, shares her inspiring journey!

Some runners come to the marathon distance after years of running shorter races. Not Maggie. Growing up playing sports, Maggie took up running half marathons and full marathons when she began her professional work life in Boston. Join us for an engaging and inspiring listen as Maggie helps us understand how she plans and organizes her training around the demands of work. And though she lives in a city, Maggie welcomes running outside (no treadmills for this runner!) reminding us of the healing aspects of nature.

Maggie also takes us along the Boston Marathon route, explaining how she trained for the hills, including Newton's heartbreak hill. And she offers a personal compare & contrast analysis between the fall 2021 race and her Boston marathon experience this past April.

Lastly, Maggie reminds us that we can do hard things, particularly when we train for them. Our conversation reinforces runners should not be intimidated by the miles of a marathon.  Instead, focus on chipping away at the goal. Such a fun, engaging and helpful conversation-I hope you enjoy it!
