Why acceptance? It's the re-realization that people are rational beings and that they have their own agenda. I accept and acknowledge that I don't have control on anyone's actions. What I do have is control of my emotions and actions. The most important undertaking is how to adjust so that their actions will have a minimal impact on me and my mental health.

Acceptance does not mean defeat. It simply means that I am armed with the right knowledge so that I am more prepared when the situation happens again. I, however, won't let it.
