De-Sovietization of the street | Martynas Marozas

Martynas is an urban designer and planner. He graduated from Delft Institute of Technology (TU Delft) as an urbanist, and the worked in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Then came back to Lithuania and started his own studio (http://mmap.lt), in which they specialise on complex transformation projects in existing cities. Their main focus is community involvement and public participation on a large scale.

Some of the points we have touched upon:

💡 Four components that make a city liveable

💡 Process of urban transformation against the result

💡 The old prison turning into a creative space, Lukiškių kalėjimas

💡 A shabby looking cafe with water all around in Amsterdam

🌏 Now it's your turn!
