A Superwoman Handbook

People ask me all the time, ‘How do you do it all?’ Truth is, most days, I don’t. Like so many women, I’m just figuring it out as I go, balancing work, family, and all the beautiful chaos life throws my way. That’s why I created A Superwoman Handbook. This podcast celebrates the women who make it all happen…or at least make it look like they do. Each episode, I sit down with incredible women who are redefining what it means to ‘have it all’ in their own way. If you’ve ever wondered how other women are juggling it all, or need a reminder that you’re not alone, this is the podcast for you. We’ll figure it out together, one story at a time.

Power in Puppets
Today’s episode of A Superwoman Handbook is a truly one-of-a-kind experience. I had the absolute honor of sitting down with Helen Meurs—educator, author, and self-described "puppetologist"—who has spent over 30 years using puppets in the most surprising and powerful way: not for performance, but for healing. Helen shares how she went from being a teacher trying to reach withdrawn students, to discovering that a simple puppet could become a trusted friend, an “enlightened witness,” and a bridge to unlock the stories children are often too afraid to tell adults. We talk about how trust, not technique, is the secret sauce, and how building a relationship—puppet to child—creates space for empathy, truth, and growth.Whether you’re a parent, a teacher, a therapist, or just someone who wants to understand kids (and maybe your own inner child) better, this episode is for you. Helen explains how puppets create a judgment-free zone where children can share freely, and how she now trains professionals worldwide to use this relational puppetry approach. And yes, you’ll get to meet her puppet Yane, who had me wanting to share my feelings too by the end! This conversation is tender, creative, and deeply moving. We’re talking trauma healing, imagination, and the quiet magic of simply being there. Helen doesn’t just work with puppets—she works with hearts.Connect with me:LinkedIn: http://linkedin.com/in/gumoney Website: http://brokenglassceilingmarketing.com Subscribe to A Superwoman’s Handbook on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen.Join my email community via my website to receive tools, inspirational stories, and full show-note breakdowns.
