Melissa opens up about her experiences growing up as dark skinned black girl and how that shaped her ideas about beauty. Her experiences with colourism and xenophobia. Her journey in the Miss South Africa pageant, the significance of it to her and what she hopes to achieve should she be crowned. ✰ MEET OUR CO-HOST ✰ Melissa is a film and television producer. Miss South Africa 2020 top 5 finalist and Miss South Africa 2023 top 5 finalist. Melissa started her career as an intern on The Voice Nigeria and went on to work on the SABC 2 music show Stand Up SA. She is currently producing Mzansi Magics Lenyalo Ha Se Papapdi.
