Truman Capote's scandalous novel about the young and eccentric Holly Golightly flew off shelves when it was first published in the November 1958 issue of Esquire and was shortly thereafter made into an even more famous film starring the iconic Audrey Hepburn. This week I discuss Capote's upbringing as a country boy turned New York City socialite, why the story almost never saw store shelves, Audrey Hepburn's difficult time taking on this role and much more.
