Back in Barcelona at the ADC Europe AI Creative Summit, just as the Awards Gala was about to kick off, I snagged some time with Fera and David from Mashed Potatoes — fresh off their talk about building an AI agent to replace their poor creative director. It’s funny, nerdy, and borderline unforgettable. Get a taste of what you missed if you weren’t there. You’re welcome.
Oh, and this is our first time unleashing the new ADC Talks look. Big thanks to Younique Studio for the new style, and huge thanks to Drop Audio and Golden Parazyth for the new music theme. Apologies in advance for possibly using the visuals upside down and for butchering the sound by sneaking in the old ADC Talks jingle. Old habits die loud.

Remember back in June when we strolled through Amsterdam with Catalin Rusu and Susana Albuquerque to drop in unannounced at Kessels Kramer? We got a quick tour but missed their creative director because, well, meetings happen.
Fast forward to now: this time, we caught Gijs van den Berg just as he was heading out for lunch. And guess what? Susana and Catalin were with us again. Perfect timing!
At the ADCE festival, Gijs gave a talk titled "A Plea for Creative Disobedience". If you know Kessels Kramer, you’ll know that’s about as on-brand as it gets. Inspired by punk rock mosh pits instead of corporate brainstorms, Gijs called out the soul-crushing processes that are suffocating our industry. With real examples of creatives breaking the rules, reclaiming their power, and turning quirky obsessions into game-changing work, it’s not a talk for the faint-hearted or the timesheet enthusiasts.
We didn’t hold back on the questions, either. Like, is everything Kessels Kramer does as wild as Hans Brinker Hostel? Or do they ever do something as mundane as, say, banners?
Tune in because missing this would be a creative crime.
