🚨 Small Cap Breaking News You Can’t Miss! 🚨
Here’s a quick rundown of the latest updates from standout small-cap companies making big moves today.
$2.3 Billion NPV PFS Filed for Cactus Copper Project
Arizona Sonoran has officially filed its Pre-Feasibility Study for the Cactus Project, confirming the scale of one of America’s most significant upcoming copper operations.
NPV8: USD $2.3B (base case)
IRR: 22.8%
Avg. annual production: 226M lbs Cu (first 10 years)
Mine life: 22 years
Jobs: 600+ direct positions anticipated
With copper demand surging amid electrification and grid expansion, Cactus is positioned to become the #3 largest copper cathode producer in the U.S. The company now moves toward a Definitive Feasibility Study, with first copper targeted for 2029.
Q2 Output Lower, but Major Processing Improvements Underway
Starcore reported production of 1,860 gold-equivalent ounces at its San Martin mine, impacted by clay-related preg-robbing and carbon fines reducing recovery.
Management responded by:
Optimizing its CIL plant
Installing two new filter presses
Fully separating processing circuits
Adding a cyanide destruction module
These upgrades position the mine for stronger recoveries and more stable output as processing restarts on stockpiled material. Starcore says the flexibility of multiple ore streams will support “profitable ounces” going forward.
Shallow High-Grade Gold Intercepts Expand Valkyrie Trend
Foremost continues to impress at the Jean Lake Project, reporting more shallow, high-grade gold hits including:
34.2 g/t Au over 0.8m within 9.0 g/t over 3.5m
82 g/t Au over 0.7m and 40 g/t Au over 0.6m from earlier holes
All significant hits sit within 100 metres of surface, strengthening the emerging Valkyrie Trend as a near-surface gold system. With step-outs underway and assays pending, the project is shaping up as a major value driver alongside Foremost’s uranium and lithium assets.
High-Grade Silver–Tin Zones Expand at Iska Iska Starter Pit
Eloro reported strong new drill results from the Santa Barbara zone, expanding high-grade mineralization to the east. Key highlights include:
90m at 61.05 g/t Ag + 0.20% Sn
Including 15m at 173.3 g/t Ag
238.5m at 1.77% Zn + 0.57% Pb
64.5m at 37.33 g/t Ag in infill drilling
Results continue to support a larger and higher-grade starter pit scenario, with the polymetallic system still open in all directions. Management expects further expansion drilling in 2026 ahead of the project’s upcoming PEA.
