Every year that I attend Burning Man is completely different from any other year. And so was this one. I arrived Sunday late night in Reno, slept and saw the weather forecast…I decided to see my friend at Lake Tahoe and got a close eye onto the weather forecast and the Burning Man page on X. Rain, road closures, strong winds, gate closures…it just kept on going…. My first gig was plannet at 10:30pm at Soundgarden on Wednesday evening so I had some time before I ‘needed’ to be there. Finally Wednesday early morning I packed up all my stuff, last Wholefoods run and off I went. Arriving at the sandy road, right off of the paved road, I immediately noticed many cars getting stuck after slipping and sliding in the mud. All I focused on was to keep on moving with my car because once I was gonna stop, I knew I would have been stuck in the mud like many others around me. I made it to the end of the line cause the gate was (again) closed. But pfew……I did not get stuck and was a little closer to getting in. After being in line for a closed gate for about 5 hours the line started moving again and I was secretly still hoping to be in time for my set at Soundgarden later that evening. Hours passed by but I got closer and closer. Once I was in I drove straight to my camp, parked my car, got changed, jumped on my bike and made my way over to Soundgarden. I arrived at the camp and had just heard about a power outage but the sound was back on, there was music so I headed over to the dj booth and gracefully took over the decks. Welcome to Burning Man. Within 24 hours I played that set, early am at Bubbles and Bass the next morning and after that I played in the magical PlayAlchemist Pyramid Thursday evening for their Gold night. What a special place, what a powerful atmosphere and so much joy and playfulness I saw while playing there. With so many of my friends showing up and so many new faces in front of me and behind me in the booth I enjoyed every second of the musical journey out there. Thanks Berge for showing up a little later than expected so I was able to play a little longer than initially scheduled. That’s also Burning Man. Thank you all for the love and support and the standing ovation! Deep gratitude for you all and everyone at PlayAlchemist for bringing this magical pyramid to the Burn. ❤️ Follow the Deep & Sexy playlist on Spotify: bit.ly/AlexCrPL

Deep & Sexy Podcast #48 (Jungle Dreams)
Follow the Deep & Sexy playlist on Spotify: bit.ly/AlexCrPL One of my favourite moments of the year is when I work on a new podcast. I love playing live for people, which is, don’t get me wrong, amazing. One other aspect of what I do is working in the studio, I truly love the creation of a new podcast. My true desire while making it is to create a journey what gives the listeners (you) the feeling that they are being taken on an adventure. It’s like going out for a day trip and not knowing what to expect and what is coming. And while making edits, remixes etc I already get very excited while picturing the sensation on your end. That’s a very fulfilling feeling when I receive all your heartfelt messages where you share the journey with me that I created for you. All the emotions that lie in musical creations are so powerful. And yes, while creating I sometimes shed a tear where I get touched myself by the journey. After recording the audio it’s time for the artwork. So I spend time on that while playing the podcast for myself. And the result you are seeing here :-) So….long story short, while being in the jungle for a few days last week I finished this new and freshly squeezed Deep & Sexy for you. Enjoy it to the fullest and hope to see you somewhere on this planet soon again. Much love, Alex
