Aleksandar Hemon talks about his latest novel, his experience of dislocation and migration, and the role of a writer telling other peoples' stories. Born and raised in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hemon’s prior work has been selected as New York Times Notable Book, New York Magazine’s No. 1 Book of the Year, and finalist for the National Book Award and the National Book Critics Circle. He is Professor of Creative Writing at Princeton University, a MacArthur "Genius Grant" recipient, co-writer of The Matrix Resurrections, four novels, and other fiction and non-fiction works.
