You’re Blessed 

He said:

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are those who mourn,

for they will be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek,

for they will inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

for they will be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful,

for they will be shown mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart,

for they will see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers,

for they will be called children of God.

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

All Prayed Up:

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we reflect on the beautiful words of your Son, Jesus, in Matthew 5:3-12, we are reminded of the profound truth that those who follow your ways are blessed. You have shown us the path to true blessing, not in material wealth or worldly success, but in the qualities of the heart and spirit that reflect your love and grace.

We thank you, Lord, for these teachings that guide us toward a blessed life. Help us to embody these qualities in our daily lives:

• Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. May we humbly recognize our need for you, seeking your guidance and wisdom.
• Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. May we show empathy and support to those who are grieving and in pain.
• Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. May we cultivate gentleness and humility in our interactions with others.
• Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. May we have a burning desire for justice and righteousness in the world.
• Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. May we extend your loving kindness and forgiveness to others.
• Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. May our hearts be cleansed from all impurities, allowing us to experience your presence.
• Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. May we actively work for peace and reconciliation in a world torn by division.
• Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. May we stand firm in our faith, even in the face of adversity.
• Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven. May we find joy in the midst of trials and be a witness to your love.

Lord, as we strive to live out these blessings, help us remember that we are called not only to receive your blessings but also to be a blessing to others. May our lives be a testament to your love, grace, and mercy, shining a light for all to see.

In the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, we pray.
