Satsriakal, my names Amma and I’m a brown girl.

I’m here to share my wonderful experiences of growing up in a desi household!

The aim is to create a better platform for brown voices as each episode focuses on topics our society avoids talking about.

Tune in to hear me challenge societal norms, my insightful awakenings and how my taboo life experiences are shared by many.

If you want to see my beautiful bootha, I have uploaded the video episodes to YouTube, and I will be doing a few episodes in Punjabi for my desi brothers and sisters.

Thank you for listening in!

SPEAKING UP IN DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS 🗣️

GURRRLLLL WE AT EP 20 WHATTTTTTT??? Something about reaching EP 20 feels like a milestone, maybe It’s the relatability of being in my mid 20’s and crashing out on the weekly, or maybe because I know the end of season 2 is fast approaching.

On that note, speaking up in difficult conversations is an episode I must cover, it’s only right when I’ve got tons of experience with it. Does that mean I’m an expert? Far from it.

You can always expect conflict but it’s how you handle it; what you say, the way you say it, the emotional safety, confidence in your ability to trust yourself, boundaries, grace. The list goes on.

Since I recently had a few situations myself with difficult conversations and wishing I had spoken up sooner, it felt right to share. I hope you are able to relate or learn something from today’s episode, feel free to share your own experiences, my dm’s are open!

Have a great week ahead of you, Enjoy !
