Welcome to Kevin Harper’s podcast—where thoughtful musings and real-world healing meet the rhythms of rural life. Broadcast from the villages and townships around Ballarat in country Victoria, A Week at the Clinic offers a calm, intelligent look at healing in action—often over a pot of Earl Grey tea. Interwoven with these stories are broader reflections on heritage, community, music, and the curious wonder of country life. This is a further venture by Kevin Harper Esquire and Saint Dunstan’s House Press. For more information, or just to say hello, email: kevin@kevinharperesq.net

A Week at the Clinic – S1E4: Healing Knees in Dublin: Stem Cells and Light

In this week’s episode, Kevin Harper explores a promising new frontier in non-surgical joint healing — combining low-level laser therapy (LLLT) with stem cell regeneration to restore damaged knees. We take a journey across the Irish Sea to Dublin, where cutting-edge clinics and researchers are reimagining orthopaedic care.

Rupert joins the conversation with insights from patient stories and emerging research from Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin. Along the way, we reflect on the power of light, cells, and compassion in healing.

Due to local 5G transition issues, we were unable to bring you our interview with Mary-Lou Spain about her recent recovery from a fractured toe. She’ll join us in a future episode. In her honour, and as a moment of reflection, we close with the Ballarat Singers’ moving rendition of Ubi Caritas.
