✨Why is it easy for the soul to leave the body during mediation or sleep, but difficult to let go in death of the physical existence?

There are a number of reasons why the soul might find it difficult to let go of the physical existence. The soul often becomes too attached to the material and to its identity here on Earth, as well as to the people that it was close to during its existence. Some souls still want to stay around for those who are left behind or feel that they are not ready to go. Meditation could help the soul to prepare for the time of death, to detach easier from the material world and rejoin with the Divine consciousness.
