Killjoys, make some noise! Should Brendon Urie release a Christmas album? What's the best British boy band? Does anyone understand Foals' lyrics? This podcast covers all the music we find applaudable, from alternative grunge to electronic chillhop and everything in between (except country music, sorry). New releases drop every Wednesday, and every other episode features a special guest. In between, we'll review albums, craft seasonal playlists, assign album superlatives, recommend new artists, and more. An Interview with Strawberry Girls

Today we’re talking to Ian Jennings, Zachary Garren, and Ben Rosett of Strawberry Girls! Strawberry Girls makes and performs music in the progressive rock/post-hardcore space. All three band members are multi-instrumental and former members of other great bands (think Dance Gavin Dance, Eternity Forever, & The Trees).  This band is one of our favorites and we’re so excited to share this episode with all of you!

In this episode, we cover:

-What the songwriting process looks like for an instrumental band

-How they create albums when they all live in separate cities

-Each band member’s favorite (and least favorite) part of being in a band

-How they stay energized when playing long sets and tours

-Their super top-secret formula for coming up with album names

-Which band member is the most likely to be on the cover of Vogue

-And more! Including what we can expect from Strawberry Girls in 2021 (Hint: it’s something to look forward to!)

Each band member was kind enough to leave us with a Daily Shuffle recommendation, so definitely give these songs a listen: Spicy by Ty Dolla $ign, I’m Still Standing by Elton John, and On Sight by Free Nationals.

You can find Strawberry Girls on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. And check out their latest single, Honeydew, wherever you get your music!!
