Couple of Immigrants is more than a weekly show, we're a movement celebrating how powerful it is to live in a country where we there are so many different fabrics but that together make a whole. My name is Amada and I'm from Guatemala City, Guatemala and David is from Prague, Czech Republic. We have so much more in common that we can even understand! We got so lucky to have met in the U.S and even though we have such different journeys leaving our home countries, we can both agree that it has given us a life beyond our wildest dreams.We didn't "escape" our countries, in this episode we talk about why we moved to the U.S and how moving to NYC has been one of the best decision we've made for so many aspects of our life. Being an immigrant can have so many different definitions but the most important to us is the stories behind this word that gets thrown around a lot! We get SO excited meeting people that inspire us and that are taking over the world to later find out they are also immigrants like us!
