Episode 94- Sarah Jane Jamison

My guest this week is Sarah Jane Jamison (@sarahjanejamison), an image maker using traditional media- colored pencil, gouache, ink, marker and paint pens- to create iconic imagery that "mirrors the uncomfortable feeling that she associates with scrolling through an endless feed that portends both limitless potential and impending apocalypse."

In this episode we get in to everything from the administrative work associated with being an artist to internet conspiracy theories, while taking a look at and dissecting the work itself. Sarah also told me about seeing herself as an artist early on in childhood, the ratio of rejection to success and a whole lot more.

Two new patrons to announce this week and Sarah is the first! Thank you so much for the vote of confidence, it just so happens that your subscription falls on the same week as your podcast release date! It always feels so good to have artists who's work I admire donate to the podcast.

The second is another artist, who's episode will drop in two weeks, Michael Camarra! (@mcamarra ) Michael makes amazing work and has been featured in many galleries. He's also a gem of a human being, so go and give him a follow!

The Patreon is sitting at about 15% towards my goal of 1k per month. If you want to help support my endeavors, go to https://www.patreon.com/artsyafpodcast and I'll give you a shoutout and you'll get complete videos of every episode we release. All my thanks and love to you for simply listening and sharing is still free;) If you want to go above and beyond, follow and subscribe to ArtsyAF on iTunes, Spotify and YouTube and share with your creative friends and family.

SHOUTS!
