In this episode, we introduce the next three concepts which relate to the tort of negligence: causation, remoteness and loss).

We will consider the different tests applied by courts when determining factual and legal causation, as well as the effect of new intervening acts on the causal chain. Case law and textbook commentary will introduce us to some general principles, as well as some exceptional approaches taken by courts in particular cases, which we will later apply to fact-based problems encountered by clients affected by negligence.
