Inmate Timothy Allen Shane, on the run for three days, was apprehended in Newton County. He was found in Covington, after residents reported him knocking on doors. Shane had escaped from Rockdale County custody, accused of stealing vehicles and kidnapping. He was initially arrested in November and had attempted self-harm, leading to his hospitalization instead of jail.
