No Rain, No Flowers: The Healing Within Discomfort, Awaken to Love Lunch Session, ACIM
Join Barret De La Luz for an intimate and heartfelt lunch-time sharing on the practical application of A Course in Miracles in daily life. Everyday simple tasks like cooking, timing sweet potatoes, and working in the kitchen become gateways for deep healing—reminding us that peace arises whenever we surrender resistance and welcome the present moment exactly as it is.
Through gentle reflections, laughter, and honest vulnerability, this session explores the idea of using discomfort for healing and the shift that occurs when we allow every feeling to surface for that purpose. As Jesus reminds us in the Course, “discomfort is aroused only to bring the need for correction into awareness.” When seen in this light, discomfort becomes a doorway rather than a problem — a quiet invitation to reinterpret our experience, hand everything over to Spirit, and let the present moment be used for our awakening.
The sharing then moves into themes of relationships, fear, openness, and the surprising freedom that comes when we give all things—especially those we cherish—over to Spirit. Love is shown to be unlosable, untouched by circumstances, and always available when the heart softens into trust.
