Back to Basics: Events + Community was created from the idea of understanding the role events play in bringing together community. It was created in the midst of several global upheavals and a sudden loss of constant in-person connection. Back to Basics is about finding our way back to those connections in a new world. About finding and nurturing those connections through various events. In each season we'll be discussing the power of events/programming and community with various organizers, and sometimes little old me!

Back to Basics: Events + Community Virtual Fun

So last weekend British Columbia's Provincial Health Authority put down new restrictions, but this time regionally directed, to combat the spread of COVID-19. I have also gotten a few requests on this topic and even though I was saving this for later in the season I thought there's no time like now to do this one!

Today we’re going to be talking about responsibility when it comes to event planning and towards our community, and also some fun ways to connect with our community safely during this time. My thoughts may seem all over the place, but trust me, they all make sense by the time we come to the end of the episode :P
