The skin on our faces make up about 3% of the total skin on our body, yet we (consumers, beauty industry, skincare products, etc) focus on it the most! In recent years, there's been more and more focus on taking care of the skin on our body (97%). Blair Armstrong founded Gilded Beauty to address the 97% of skin we all neglect.
In this episode, Blair shares her journey with beauty growing up in foster care, her ambition, how she pivoted from being a Dermatological Physician's Assistant to creating Gilded Beauty and how travel and architecture is infused in the design of her products and brand. Most importantly, Blair also discusses how important it is for her to reduce disparities in dermatologic care and allow more access by providing virtual and in-person appointments. Blair is an absolute force!
