Welcome to Season 2!🥳
We’re calling this one Unlearning, Learning & Relearning.
Basically, it's just me trying to figure out all the little habits and mindsets I picked up growing up that don’t really serve me anymore and learning new ones that do.
In this episode, I’m opening up about something that shaped so much of my adult life without me even realizing it — hyper-independence.
For years, asking for help made me feel like a burden. So I carried everything alone. Work. Emotions. Responsibilities. Even the things that were clearly too heavy for one person.
But hyper-independence isn't strength, it’s survival mode disguised as productivity.
In this calm, honest conversation, I talk about:
• where this mindset came from
• how childhood experiences shaped my “I’ll do it myself” mentality
• the guilt that comes with needing help
• learning to rest without feeling irresponsible
• accepting softness, support, and ease
• and the difference between being independent and overdoing it
If you’ve ever struggled with receiving help or felt like you had to “hold everything together,” this episode will sit with you gently.
