There was a special election in a State House district in Iowa (Iowa HD 100, if you’re a nerd like me) - well the Republican won it by 3.3%, which is a 24% shift towards the Democrat. Trump won this by 28% in November and the Republican won it by only 3.3% last night.
Greenland’s Demokraatit party - a center-right party that favors a gradual path to Greenland’s independence from Denmark - won a surprise victory in Greenland’s parliamentary elections. This party is known for pushing back against Trump’s goal of taking over Greenland - in fact, in response to the win, the party’s leader said that the result should send a clear message to Trump that Greenland is not for sale.
And in a second blow to the Trump Administration, the European Union announced countermeasures to Trump’s tariffs - worth about $28 billion - will start on April 1
