First Week of Advent
Today’s Advent readings invite us to prepare our hearts for the King who comes in justice, grace, and transforming power.📖 Amos 2:6–16 confronts a people who had grown comfortable with injustice—selling the poor, trampling the vulnerable, and turning a blind eye to sin. Advent reminds us that the Messiah comes not only to comfort but to correct**, calling His people back to righteousness and mercy.📖 2 Peter 1:1–11 gives the antidote to spiritual complacency: a growing, intentional life of faith. Peter urges us to add goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, mutual affection, and love. When these qualities increase in us, our lives become a clear witness to Christ’s coming kingdom.📖 In Matthew 21:1–11, Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey—the humble King** entering His city, fulfilling prophecy, and confronting expectations. Advent reminds us that the King arrives not with worldly power, but with holy authority and sacrificial love.🔥 Together, these passages call us to prepare for Jesus by pursuing justice, growing in character, and welcoming our humble King with obedient hearts.#Advent #AdventDaily #BiblePodcast #PrepareHimRoom #HumbleKing #JusticeAndMercy #2Peter #Amos #Matthew21 #ComeLordJesus #The Bible Study Podcast
