How to Get Free Education In Norway

Overview of Norway:

With a population of close to 5.5 million, Norway is not heavily populated. It is beautiful. You can relax looking at Fjords, northern lights and beautiful mountains in general. Norway is incredibly progressive and socially conscious. 95% of the electricity is from hydropower. The majority of the population drives electric cars.

Language:

The native language is Norwegian. It is easy to learn. English is amongst the other commonly spoken language.

Free education:

Norway has free education policy because public universities are government-funded. Private universities charge tuition fees. Although Norway has a high standard of living, its living costs are very high. You can work to offset those living costs since the wages are good. Studying in Norway will improve the prospects of getting a job locally or internationally. If you are looking to work then it’s a good idea to learn Norwegian.

Staying at a quarantined hotel for three days is mandatory

After three days, COVID 19 test will occur. If the test is negative, you can self-quarantine at your accommodation. You can end the travel quarantine on the negative test.

Quarantine Costs:

  • NOK 500 per night for 18      plus
  • NOK 250 per night from 10 to 18-year-olds
  • Children under the age of 10 don’t have to pay. They will stay      with their parents.

Working while studying:

Non-EU students can work 20 hrs a week

Tolerance:

Norway is a very tolerant society and has a low crime rate. It’s a welcoming society. It’s easy to adjust to the Norwegian way of living.

Oslo is the hub of Startups in Norway. It’s easy to find a job in these startups given you bring a skill set.

Norway is European Economic Area. On attaining residency, you can go anywhere in Europe for work, business etc.
