The horror genre is one that has not only been beloved for hundreds of years, but continues to grow in popularity with each passing decade. Even so, appreciation of the genre is still mostly relegated to artistic communities, with the average moviegoer largely in the dark as to the history of the horror movie. That’s where Bill and Ashley’s Terror Theater comes in. Presented in the tradition of Elvira, Joe Bob Briggs, and DVD audio commentaries, Bill Bria (freelance film critic and historian) and Ashley Coffin (longtime co-host of SP’s Marvel Cinematic Universe Podcast) dive deep into the history, production and impact of classic horror films, ranging from the dawn of cinema to last week’s box office. Don’t be scared—come into the darkened theater with us…

Sinners
Sinners dives into a dark and twisted small-town tale where secrets, sins, salvation and saliva collide.  A genre-defying Southern Gothic horror film set in 1932 Mississippi, with an amazing cast of memorable characters. Ryan Coolger takes on one hell of a ride with a film that blends elements of horror, music, and racial allegory, exploring themes of legacy, spirituality, and community. This was definitely a very unique cinematic experience and we could not wait to talk about it!
