Mos Def a Dope Convo - Episode 56 w/Ralph Cooper

This week we rap hip hop (without actually rapping this time) We get into Trap, Drill and Hip Hop in general. Discuss the Mos Def comments on Drake and try to project how our parenting styles will manifest into the future. Give it a listen. Ralph Cooper changed the open mic scene in DC. He gave many comedians their start and also was shaman as comedians lost their comedic virginity on stage. Many special shows took place at the historic “Awesome Thursday” at the once renown RFD bar in downtown DC. "Awesome Thursdays" was selected by Google as their first comedy live stream for their new platform Google Plus! He was also one of the producers of Roy Wood Jr.’s podcast, Roy’s Job Fair. Ralph Cooper's quick wit, infectious silliness, and double bass voice have captivated audiences from comedy clubs to fast food joints. The Morehouse College graduate launched his career in media at National Public Radio. With his signature commanding baritone voice, Cooper ventured into stand-up comedy in 2005, touring clubs in the US and Canada. The Arsenal-supporting Gooner has been featured on Comedy Central, CBS, Sirius XM, and Washington Post. He is most proud of the fact that his family was named the "Coolest Black Family in America" by EBONY magazine. Watch The Blerd Dad Podcast! Or listen on major streaming outlets.
