Boju Bajai in conversation with writer Indu Tharu. In this episode we talk about her writing, art, activism and the importance of revolution to combat oppression.
Indu Tharu is an artist, poet, and activist. She has documented different social movements across Nepal and the often forgotten contribution of women from indigenous communities like Tharus in such movements. Her writings have appeared in several national media outlets and shine light on the oppression of indigenous communities, and the loss of their language and knowledge.
She has published three books - “Muktik Dagar”, “Nilambit Nibandha”, and “Budhani”, her latest book about Tharu folktale, which was released in June 2025. This conversation with Indu Tharu was recorded in 2024.
