Today is a truly special episode as we get to celebrate Debbie's birthday as we dive into her journey to sobriety and her incredible story of resilience and transformation!
Debbie shares her powerful story of becoming sober after getting a DUI two years ago. It was a forced entry into sobriety, but over time she embraced it wholeheartedly and hasn't had another drink since making that life-changing decision.
She explains the various resources and support systems that helped her along the way. She connected with inspiring podcasts like 'Sober Mum,' engaged in group sessions, read extensively, and even rekindled her spiritual faith.
We are thrilled to announce that both Debbie and I will be participating in a recovery coaching program starting in January. Offered by Faces and Voices of Recovery of the Lowcountry, this program will certify us as peer recovery coaches and allow us to contribute even more to our community!
