However, their efforts werent quite enough to overcome Detroits strong performance. Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman was pulled from the game after giving up five goals, with Joonas Korpisalo stepping in for the final sixteen minutes and five seconds. Despite a late surge from Boston, they couldnt erase the three-goal deficit. The Red Wings will now begin a six-game road trip, while the Bruins will host St. Louis on the same night.
