Brian Camozzi, the younger brother of our host, Chris Camozzi joins us in studio today to talk about his extensive training in martial arts and making it all the way to the UFC.
Following his UFC/MMA career, Brian joined the Denver Police Department and the guys sit down to talk about defensive training police go through and he shares his opinion on changes that can be made and common scenarios police encounter. He talks about Jiu Jitsu potentially saving your life as well as his opinion on what cops should be doing outside of normal work hours to help keep themselves safe. Chris and Brian get to discuss confidence vs ego and they also take some funny trips down memory lane, growing up and how they both started MMA the hard way!
Enjoy the show! Chris mentions his training app https://jiujitsuonthego.uscreen.io/catalog as a resource for law enforcement and other emergency services to learn from anywhere so we wanted to include the link for you.
There was also another resource mentioned for Police Officers to start training BJJ and that was https://adoptacopbjj.org/
