True Christianity is not found in living for ourselves. It is actually found in laying down our lives for the benefit of others. That is what we teach at our Bible school.
God calls each of us to do something that might seem small to us, but it is precious and important in His sight. We cannot fix the whole world, but we can love one person, pray for one captive, encourage one broken heart.
My father’s courage taught me that faith is never passive. He left college to fight in World War II as a volunteer. Faith moves. It gives. It stands for others. Jesus lived that way. The church must now live that way.
Do not let the comforts of this life rob you of your calling. Find that thing that God wants you to do, and do it with all of your heart for the sake of Christ.
