We're Vanessa and Jessenia, just two Mexican-American, Long Island girls trying to figure it out--and cataloging our thoughts while we do it. Occasionally we'll bring on guests who might have more personal experience with a topic! Jessenia is an educator and aspiring writer. She writes a blog, “Mericana, Gabacha, and Soñadora." Vanessa works as a legislative aide in local government. In her free time she can be found doom scrolling or hanging out with her houseplants.

Jas graciously offers insight on the importance of recognizing gender non-conformity and how cultural and linguistic barriers impede this movement for inclusion especially as it pertains to the term Latinx/Latine.
