Tom Holland was born in Kingston upon Thames, England, in 1996. He was raised by his parents, Nicola Frost and Dominic Holland, a comedian and author.

When he was 10 years old, Tom joined the National Youth Theatre. He also played football for his local team, the Wimbledon Dons.
In 2012, Tom was accepted to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, where he studied theater.
After graduating from the BRIT School, Tom landed a role in the West End production of "Billy Elliot the Musical".
He made his film debut in the 2015 disaster film "The Impossible".
In 2016, Tom was cast as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has starred in three Spider-Man films so far, and he is set to appear in more films in the future.
