Overweight and hospitalized with kidney stones, Tom Downey wanted a healthier life for himself and his family. One of Denver’s best-known lawyers, activists, and civic leaders, Tom became a devoted triathlete, training and racing with his trademark gusto and grit. Fresh off his first swim from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco, the 60-year-old former President of the Children’s Museum of Denver, and Chairman of the Colorado Children’s Campaign, shares his inspirational journey to greater wellness and well-being.
