Australia's most successful snowsports athlete Michael has represented Australia in in alpine racing at five Winter Paralympic games and has won 6 gold, three silver and two bronze medals, retiring after the Turin games in 2026. He still holds the record for the fastest Australina on snow at 213km/hr and also represented Australia in cycling at the summer Paralympic games in Beiijing in 2008. A three-time cancer survivor, Michael recently announced a return to ski racing and will be competing on the upcoming World Cup tour in a bid to qualify for the 2026 Winter Paralympic games in Milan/Cortina in February 2026.
