Welcome to Chronicles of Old Singapore. Karen Brooks and Angela Bird, two sisters from Portsmouth, spent their childhood years in the Singapore Naval Base where their father was a submariner from 1966 to 1969. They reminisce about the unrelenting heat, the houses at Jalan Asas and Fraser Road where they lived, the local food they ate, and the Junior School they attended.
