Happiest Sunday to you all! This week are speaking with Thomas, Amy, and Aidan of Flourish House! Flourish house is a young adult intentional community located just beside St.George's United Church in midtown Toronto. We have a chat about the role the church plays in each of their lives, and how they have found peace and acceptance in the United Church community. It's not often that we meet young queer folks that are comfortable in religious spaces, and we begin to unpack the issues that many of us have with religious institutions. We want to acknowledge that this conversation may be triggering, but we hope like with all our episodes, to create a dialogue that is nuanced, and rooted in creating safer, more authentic spaces.
