WELCOME TO THE CITADEL CHURCH ONLINE!We are so excited to connect with you this week! We pray you are blessed and that you find a place to belong here in our community.
This week, Daniel Rivera continued our journey through the book of Jonah by stepping into one of the most surprising moments in the story. After witnessing one of the greatest revivals in Scripture, Jonah isn’t celebrating—he’s angry. Deeply angry.
In Jonah 4:1–4, we see a prophet who obeyed outwardly but resented God inwardly. And yet, God meets Jonah with compassion and a piercing question: “Do you do well to be angry?”
Daniel challenged us with honest questions that help surface what’s happening beneath our own frustration:
Are there people we believe are beyond God’s mercy?
Are we trying to control the outcome rather than surrender to God’s will?
What are we so attached to that we’d rather hold onto anger than be transformed by grace?
Where is God gently asking us the same question He asked Jonah?
This message explores how anger can reveal what’s unresolved in us, how grace can confront our pride, and how God’s mercy is just as much for us as it is for the people we struggle to love.
Each week, we gather to worship Jesus, open Scripture, and lean into what God is saying to us as a church. Whether you're part of the Citadel family or just checking things out, we’re so glad you're here. These messages are designed to help you follow Jesus in everyday life and be part of something bigger—His Kingdom.
