Claude Mayers Featured Poet (Claude Starts at 8:30 into the Recording) Feb 11 2023 ZOOM! Second Saturdays Poetry Readings All Souls

Claude Mayers -- featured poet @ the Feb 11 2023 All Souls Second Saturdays Poetry Reading. He reads for 20 minutes after the introduction by host/poet Dan Kerr, & the welcoming // two poems from Suffolk County (LI, NY) Poet Laureate Richard Bronson. Claude starts with 'Change The Plumbing To Poetry' @ 8:30 on the timeline, from the beginning of the recording. Then he returns for 5 more minutes, reading 3 poems: one about viewing a tsunami wave from a safe height; then two sequential short poems about surf from Thanksgiving & the Next Day, November 2002.

There are a few audio glitches which we hope to pre-emptively transcend (as possible, depending on the mind of the listener):

4:12 Richard Bronson -- 'Subterfuge' & '1st Do No Harm'

8:30  'Change The Plumbing To Poetry (After Richard Brautigan)  -- Poetry existential / Or recreational

11:25 'Lovers' Escape,' (two lovers/activists who note they may be funded abundant -- opposing blatant greed that jukes the powerful to need more epicenters from which to bleed the populace of their equity . . . )

18:50  'C. In The First Citizens Bank Parking Lot' bangs into the pick-up again cracking its bumper. She pulls up beside the unattended vehicle, checks her own car, brushes with her fingers, upset slightly that she's done a bit of damage . . . says she hates driving in Scarborough as she hesitantly exits the lot . . .

20:40  'Virginia Car Crash 4-26-22'  She was driving her car . . There were tornado warnings & freeze alerts . . . .

22:24   'In Your Next Life You Will Have A Moustache' for a stewardess . . .by the time she returned with a tiny white straw & pink napkin . . . What was causing him to fell strange -- via his unconscious memory in his next body . . .

25:18  'Pursitis' -- for the ladies, after a hard evening at the Dali museum carrying the heavy Coach bag from painting to painting Surreal/Impressionistic/Faces hidden subtly  -- Parononia / Ships passing / smoke trailing / Beyond a multicolored pastel beach . . . Could she have checked the object, sat upon the lightweight portable seats provided / All the pill bottles, lipsticks, Panamanian money, St. Anthony medals, Prayers to Mary, The Pinchas Book of Healing . . .
